Another Use for a Polar Orbit
|
|
The image to the left shows the polar orbits
of two satellites, MetOp and NOAA.
The MetOp and NOAA satellites study the weather
and climate
of the Earth. Because of the polar orbits, the
two satellites can examine the entire surface (or atmosphere).
